Simply Self Storage acquired the portfolio from LifeStorage October 23, 2006.  The portfolio consisted of 441,221 rentable square feet and 3,854 units in Algonquin, Carpentersville, Chicago, Elgin, Matteson, and South Chicago Heights.

 In addition, Simply Self Storage currently has another 54 properties under contract that will close by year end making it the largest private self storage owner in the United States and Puerto Rico.
