In addition to our expertise in storage,
OB Development, Inc. has begun to develop small retail centers to complement our
self storage product. Built upon our in-depth knowledge of the storage
industry, the retail centers allow us to buy a larger parcel of land and use a
portion of it for retail and the remainder for self storage facilities.
Our storage centers can use the less
valuable land on the back or the side of retail developments leaving the
valuable frontage space available for other businesses such as restaurants and
grocery stores. Our properties generate additional revenue and can even help
lower common area costs to other retail tenants. We do all that without
requiring additional parking spaces or creating traffic overflow issues.
Over the recent years, we have
demonstrated our ability to select great sites for new storage locations as well
as retail centers, to execute strategic planning and marketing, and to involve
ourselves with the everyday operations and property management of the storage
facilities. We are confident in our ability to continue on this path into the
future.
